Old Visions are all Good Ones

Series of mixed media on paper and oil paintings.

“ Browne wrote “there is no antidote against the opium of time”

Well, this is my illusion of an antidote, for facing my helpless state as a human against time and space.

I walk, watch, read, write, film, photograph, and collect instants through tickets, postcards, books, post-its - and this is my proof, proof that I have lived.

When I enter the studio I dive back into this database and try to act as a living organism whose only purpose is to condense all of it into a series of paintings and drawings. The result comes out as hybrids of elements that do not belong together.

Just like memory, it is faulty, sometimes accurate sometimes missing, and often unclear. "
